Amas, Kidapawan City (March 11, 2021) – Seeing how the pandemic affected farmers, the provincial leadership is keen on ensuring a self-sufficient agri-industry in the province.
In a meeting with Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) Chair Secretary Emmanuel “Manny” F. Piñol, international and local investors on Monday, Governor Nancy A. Catamco expressed eagerness to get the work started with MinDA and other partners which will surely provide the province more opportunities not only to sustain the agricultural economy in the province but also advance its farming industry.
Secretary Piñol who presented various projects for hog and poultry raisers as well as corn farmers in the province assured MinDA’s commitment to support the provincial government’s undertakings.
The secretary arranged a virtual conference between Governor Catamco and Mr. Supakrit Inseesungworn, executive of one of Asia’s biggest agro-industrial conglomerates, the Charoen Pokphand Foods Phils., Laine T. Porras from ALI Agri-Exim Corporation, among others to discuss the potential hog and poultry projects in the province.
Tomorrow, March 16, 2021 Sec. Piñol and Governor Catamco will again convene in a meeting with representives of rice and corn processing centers in the province for another undertaking.//idcd-pgo//
